The evolution

It all started at Taberna do Bico, a small wine and food bar that quickly filled with laughter, cooking smoke, and a desire to do things our way. Over time, that spirit grew, gazing out to sea, and gave rise to O Agocho do Bico, our restaurant facing the seafront, and now Do Bico Rooms, the rooms overlooking the port where you can continue the experience a little longer. Different spaces, same essence: sharing the best of Camariñas around a table and a good wine.

Evolution to Do Bico

At Taberna do Bico, the spirit of its beginnings is preserved: a lively bar, wines from independent Galician wineries that we discover little by little, and daily tapas to accompany each glass. It's the place to start the story, where conversations linger, and where there's always something new to try in good company.

At O Agocho do Bico, that energy is transformed into relaxed cuisine. Seasonal produce, aged meats, and recipes with an Atlantic flair take center stage in a space overlooking the seafront, where the port of Camariñas can be seen and almost felt from the table. This is where the humble tavern corner becomes a restaurant.

And regarding the restaurant, Do Bico Rooms completes the circle: rooms with character, details of a renovated old house, and direct views of the port, designed for those who want to extend the experience beyond the last toast. Sleeping here is to remain connected to that same thread that unites tavern, cuisine, and the sea.

Daniel Klaus Rego Sternat, passion for cooking and wine

Half Galician, half Austrian, Daniel carries a blend of flavors and cultures in his blood. He trained at the Galician Higher School of Hospitality and specialized in wine with a sommelier master's degree from INGAVI (Santiago). His obsession: Galician wines. At Agocho do Bico, Daniel not only creates dishes that inspire, but also transforms each bottle into a celebration of the taste of Galicia. Cuisine, wine, and passion in every bite!

Sara López Naveira, The Art of Receiving with a Bico

Sara is the perfect captain for this sailboat. With the same hospitality training as Daniel, her experience has made her an expert at creating unique atmospheres. Approachable, detail-oriented, and always with a smile, Sara transforms every visit into an unforgettable experience, where the sea and fine dining come together. Pure Galician hospitality!

5 years of history

2020

The founders of Taberna do Bico, Daniel and Úrsula retire and Daniel and Sara take over the reins.

2021

We are passionate about the world of wine and incorporate into our cellar wines from small wineries in Galicia that have a lot to tell

2022

We trained as sommeliers at the Instituto Galego do Viño, becoming professional in what we were most passionate about.

2026

We are launching our new hospitality business concept in Camariñas with the creation of O Agocho do Bico and Do Bico Rooms
